‘A Century of Healing’ is community outreach for Minden Medical Center

By Paige Gurgainers

Minden Medical Center is inviting community members to take part in a hands-on CPR and First Aid Training program as part of its 100-Year Community Outreach Initiative, marking a century of service from 1926 to 2026 under the theme “A Century of Healing.”

The training program is designed to equip participants with life-saving skills in emergency situations, with organizers emphasizing the importance of being prepared when it matters most.

The course includes CPR and First Aid certification training led by certified instructors, with a combination of hands-on instruction and a written and skills test administered on site. The program is structured to ensure participants leave with both practical experience and certification.

Class size is limited to a maximum of 12 students per session, and the cost to reserve a spot is $25 per individual. Training will take place at the MMC Education Room located at 729 Main Street in Minden.

Several training dates have been scheduled throughout the summer, including:

June 9, 2026 | 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
June 26, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
July 10, 2026 | 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
July 24, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
