A Crossett, Ark., man died in one of three accidents on Interstate 20 Monday.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., 33-year-old Kyle Ricks was eastbound on I-20 near U.S. Hwy. 371, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado when his vehicle reportedly collided with the rear of a 2014 Kenworth tractor-trailer, also traveling east.

Ricks, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was properly restrained and uninjured. State police say impairment on the part of Ricks is suspected. Standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation by LSP Troop G.
