At the end of their regular monthly meeting Monday, Minden City Council members and Mayor Nick Cox recognized two local baseball and softball teams that knew how to put the bat on the ball this season.

Members of the 15U Softball All Star team (above) were state champions, as well as undefeated in the district tournament and runners-up in the World Series.

Most members of the 9U Baseball All star team (below) were at football practice, but they were still honored, and those who were able to make the celebration received recognition for the rest. The team members were state champions, undefeated in district and state tournaments.
