A single-vehicle crash Friday morning, claimed the life of a Springhill man.

At approximately 10:15 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a crash on Louisiana Highway 157 near Bolinger Cutoff Road in Bossier Parish.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by 66-year-old Gregory Schildroth, was traveling south on Louisiana Highway 157. For reasons still under investigation, the GMC exited the roadway and overturned.

Schildroth, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. Impairment is not suspected; however, standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
