A 58-year-old local man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in what parish investigators believe was the result of a domestic incident.
Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker identified the deceased as Daniel Wayne Hair, a resident of the 300 block of Lorex Rd. He reportedly died of a single gunshot wound at a residence in the 3400 block of Dorcheat Rd.
Parker said the alleged shooter, 21-year-old Luther David Hair, is currently in custody and is being interviewed by detectives. Hair is the nephew of the deceased.
According to Parker, deputies were dispatched around 2 p.m. Sunday to the Dorcheat Rd. residence to the reported dispute.
Parker said the investigation is in its very early stages and there is no determination at this time what, if any, charges will be filed.
