The Greater Minden Chamber will offer community members an opportunity to meet local candidates during “Coffee with the Candidates” on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The free event will begin at 7:45 a.m. at the Webster Parish Council on Aging, located at 1482 Sheppard Street in Minden.

Unlike a traditional candidate forum or debate, the gathering will follow an informal meet-and-greet format. Attendees may stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee, ask questions and speak directly with candidates in one-on-one conversations.

The relaxed setting is intended to give voters an opportunity to learn more about the people seeking public office and discuss the issues that matter to them before Election Day.

All candidates have been invited to participate, and the event is free and open to the public.

Community members are encouraged to attend, become better informed about the upcoming election and take advantage of the opportunity to meet the candidates personally.
