Seeds Women’s Center will bring comedian Tim Lovelace to Minden on Tuesday, Oct. 6, for its annual fundraising banquet, with a goal of raising $100,000 for services benefiting local women and families.

The banquet will be held at the Minden Civic Center, 520 Broadway St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6 p.m.

The fundraiser helps support the nonprofit’s free services. According to the center, those services include pregnancy testing, nurse consultations and ultrasounds provided by a licensed and trained medical team in a confidential setting.

Seeds also offers parenting education and classes addressing reproductive loss and recovery. Through its baby boutique, the center helps families obtain supplies for young children, depending on availability.

Community members, churches, organizations and businesses are invited to support the banquet through attendance and sponsorships.

Tickets are required for admission and can be picked up at Seeds Women’s Center, 308 Pine St. in Minden.

For ticket and sponsorship information, call 318-639-0907 or text 318-459-8579. Additional information about the center is available on its Facebook page at facebook.com/seedswc.
