WPCOA continues to move forward with senior services

An executive meeting of the Webster Parish Council on Aging committee ensured payroll and other expenses for the community program will continue to flow following the death of Executive Director Johnny Johnson last month.

According to minutes of the meeting, the executive committee authorized Site Manager Erin Fowler to contact Louisiana Asset Management Program (LAMP) to release funds from the organization’s savings account to be deposited into the checking account.

“The Louisiana Asset Management Program would release funds only from the contact with a full-time employee of the center,” the minutes read.

The motion carried and Fowler will be contacting LAMP immediately to transfer the funds, so there is no interruption in the COA’s services to Webster Parish.
