A reception honoring Dr. Carl H. Hines for 37 years of service took place Friday, Oct. 16 at Minden Medical Center. A steady line of well-wishers waited patiently to pump the longtime family physician’s hand. His family was also on hand to show their support of their father, grandfather, and brother.

Minden Medical Center CEO Keith Cox presented Dr. Hines with a plaque that thanked the local physician for “a lifetime of caring for others.”

“In honor of Dr. Carl H. Hines, 37 years of dedicated service, with deepest gratitude for your compassionate care, exceptional service, and unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” the plaque read. “Presented with gratitude and appreciation from Minden Medical Center/Minden Physicians Practices.”

Shannon Brown of MMC also presented Dr. Hines with a framed scrub top that had been signed by MMC and MPP employees and physicians.
