Boley’s walk-off gives Lakeside victory over Vikings

Lakeside Warriors took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off walk at the end of the game to topple Airline Vikings. The game was tied at four with Lakeside batting in the bottom of the seventh when Cade Boley drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the second inning, Lakeside got their offense started when an error scored one run.

Cooper Chase was on the mound for the Warriors. The ace surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out three.

Evan Wendrock toed the rubber for Airline Vikings. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out five.

Bradley Dick and Matthew Aguilera each collected one hit to lead Lakeside.

Airline totaled seven hits.  Carter White and Collin Wiggins all managed multiple hits.

Lakeside watches game against Byrd slip away

Lakeside Warriors watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-1 loss to Byrd Jacks Saturday.  Byrd Jacks took the lead on a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

The Warriors struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Byrd, giving up nine runs.

The Jacks got on the board in the second inning.  D Futch’s sac fly scored one run.

Byrd scored four runs in the fifth inning.  Their big inning was driven by doubles by K Rob, K D, and Futch.

H Koos was credited with the victory for Byrd. Koos lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two.  C Lacoste threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jordan Isbell took the loss for Lakeside. The righthander allowed six hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out four.

Eli Musgraves, Jon Jon Dick, and Cade Boley all had one hit to lead Lakeside.

Byrd racked up eight hits in the game.  Rob, Z Wil, and Futch all managed multiple hits for Byrd  Jacks.  Rob led Byrd  Jacks with three hits in four at bats.  Byrd  Jacks was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Rob made the most plays with  five.

Lakeside  Warriors easily dispatched Taylor Tigers 12-2 on Saturday

Lakeside Warriors opened up scoring in the first inning when Bradley Dick singled.

Dick earned the win for Lakeside  Warriors. The lefthander allowed two hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight.  CJ Watts and Jordan Isbell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Mason Lindsey was on the pitcher’s mound for Taylor Tigers . The pitcher surrendered six runs on five hits over one inning, walking one. Kaleb Downs, Jake Pitre, Austin Aycock and Jasper Jones each entered the game as relief, throwing one inning, one inning, one inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Lakeside Warriors tallied 11 hits.  Jon Jon Dick and Dick each had multiple hits.  Dick and Dick each collected two hits to lead the team.  Lakeside was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Dick made the most plays with 12.

Lindsey led Taylor Tigers  with two hits in three at bats.
