Spin-off tornadoes and straight line winds were the order of the day Monday as Beryl made its way through east Texas and northwest Louisiana.
Director of Webster Parish Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Brian Williams said around 5:30 p.m., that there were multiple trees down in the parish, along with some power lines.
“No word of any injuries yet,” he added. Shongaloo and Springhill may have caught the brunt in Webster Parish.
Around 6 p.m., Minden Mayor Nick Cox said he was aware of parish trees that were down but none within the city limits.
As Beryl cleared out of the area, so did chances of rain and flooding.
