
Lakeside’s Gage Williams’ RBI single in the bottom of the seventh tied the game and Peyton Gray later scored on a sacrifice fly to give the Warriors a 6-5 walk-off win Tuesday over Darbonne Woods Tuesday.
Darbonne Woods had taken the lead in the top of the fifth inning with four runs on three hits before the Warriors staged their game-winning comeback.
After the Timberwolves had taken an early lead with a score in the top of the first, Jon Jon Dick singled to tie the game in the bottom of the inning. Lakeside took the lead in the fourth when a Williams single and a Jake Glass double put the Warriors up 3-1.
Eli Campbell earned the win in relief for Lakeside, giving up four hits and one run over three innings of work. Daltin Albritton took the loss for Darbonne Woods.
Lakeside had 12 hits in the game, led by Greg Williams with three. Dick and Gray each collected multiple hits for the Warriors.
