Minden City Council approves hiring of new police officer

Heather Boucher is Minden’s newest police officer.

Minden Police Department will have a new full-time officer soon. The city council voted unanimously Monday to hire Heather Boucher, providing she passes all pre-employment checks and screens.
Boucher has already passed the entry level officer’s exam with a score of 85 percent.
In other business, the council also approved the following:

  • Adopt Resolution – Authorizing Credit Card Signatory Power for Certain City of Minden Personnel
  • Adopt Resolution – Adopting the City of Minden Sports Complex Fee Schedule
  • Adopt Resolution – Authorizing Mayor Cox to Accept the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)
    Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG), Project No. 3-22-0032-019-2026, Titled Construct Hangar, from the
    Federal Aviation Administration for Future Improvements to the Minden Airport and Enter into a Grant
    Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration

  • Adopt Ordinance No. 1169 – An Ordinance Levying Tax Mills for the Year 2026
  • Adopt Ordinance No. 1170 – An Ordinance Declaring Certain Municipally Owned Immovable Property and
